Terms of Service

By accessing or using QueryCanvas ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including workspace owners, administrators, and invited members.

QueryCanvas is a data reporting and analytics platform that allows you to connect databases and data sources, build visual queries, generate reports and dashboards, and share data insights with your team. The Service is provided as a subscription-based SaaS product.

You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Each plan allows a defined number of workspaces — workspaces you own count toward your limit; workspaces you are invited to do not. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

You retain full ownership of all data accessed through your connected databases and data sources. QueryCanvas processes your data solely to execute queries and generate reports as directed by you. We do not access, read, copy, or use your underlying database contents for any purpose other than providing the Service. Database credentials are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM and are never logged or transmitted in plaintext.

You agree not to use the Service to store, process, or transmit illegal data, to abuse or circumvent AI query limits, to attempt unauthorized access to other users' data, or to resell the Service without explicit written permission. Violation of this policy may result in immediate account termination.

Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe. All prices are in USD. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds on monthly subscriptions. Annual subscriptions may be eligible for prorated refunds within 14 days of purchase — contact support@querycanvas.io.

We take the security of your data seriously. All database credentials and API tokens are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM. Data in transit is protected by TLS 1.2+. Credentials are never logged, never appear in API responses, and are masked in all interfaces. We perform regular security reviews and promptly address disclosed vulnerabilities.

The QueryCanvas platform, including its software, design, trademarks, and documentation, is owned by QueryCanvas and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain all rights to your data. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service during your subscription period.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, QueryCanvas shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits, or business arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amounts paid by you in the twelve months preceding the claim.

You may cancel your account at any time from Settings → Billing. We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these terms, non-payment, or if required by law. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days unless required to be retained by applicable law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email and by displaying a notice in the application. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
